Christmas of 2014
"You can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles three things… a rainy day, an ill loved one and tangled Christmas tree lights"
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!! Hope everyone gets good gifts, and has a good day. This is the highlight of my Christmas 2014.
I was invited to a Christmas Party by an close friend from school days, at her place. I had been waiting a long time to meet up with her anyways, and this was a good chance, so of course I went to spend the day with my friend, regardless of the guest list. Should have asked... I mean, I wouldn't have missed it, but still, should have asked.
You know that awkward moment, when a lot of people who are coming to your friend's party, are those you were friendly with through a common person, and you weren't that close a friend with that person anymore, and they're all with you in the same room? Yea, the air got noticeable heavy at times. But thank god for a new person, my host's college friend. She and I had not interacted much before, which left plenty to talk about, and we did. Of course, before the party got underway, we made a deal not to leave the other with the rest of the guests. Her because she didn't know them, me because I wish I didn't know most of them.
As the party progressed, I found my rhythm and stuck to the deal, and for most part, it went a lot better than expected. Near the end when last of the other guests were left, time seemed to drag on, but it finally ended, leaving me, my friend the host and her college friend. We spent about an hour together is all, and that was when I truly felt the spirit of Christmas. To be with people who love you, who want to be with you and you want to be with them, to forget our troubles and share in happiness and laughter. There was food and drink and joy shared heartily by all. Telling of tales and jokes, games, reconnecting with old friends.
It was the first time in a long time, I had truly celebrated Christmas, and loved every moment of it. Stay tuned for more from the Sane Lunatic.
Also, I uploaded a Christmas Special Instrumental track 'Memory Lane' on my youtube channel, do check it out. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3MxwuPJANw
