Donald Trump Becomes President Again, Here's Why And How America Needs To Go Forward: A Looney Analysis
The pageantry known as the American Presidential election has just concluded its latest iteration and the winner is Donald J. Trump, who defeated Kamala Harris the incumbent Vice President. This outcome has caused quite a stir despite its predictability, and the reactions range from humourous to deranged.
As someone who resides outside of the United States of America, my life will be indirectly affected by the chaos caused by the next President of that country. However, I do have some thoughts on what happened, and why, starting with this:
Kamala Harris was the worst possible candidate to compete against Donald Trump
The Democrats have been in deep shit for some years now with a poor roster of Presidential candidates. If anything, they are as dumb and blinded by agenda as they accuse those who support Trump. I get that they want to make history by trying to get a woman elected into the Oval Office, but they keep backing the wrong candidate at the wrong time. It didn't work with an old white lady in 2016, so how the fuck would it have worked with a brown woman born to immigrant parents in 2024? I'm not saying racism is justified, but the election is a popularity contest, not based on competency. If I had to guess who wins based on the demographic of voters, I wouldn't think the odds were ever in her favour for this election.
In fact, I think the party is equally responsible for both the times that Trump has won with these Presidential candidates. Combined with a less-than-charismatic campaign, Kamala was doomed to fail. Most of the swing states voting for the orange-hued lunatic is proof of that, in my eyes.
Now that you American have fucked it up and he's back in office, let's stop making the most obvious mistake:
Stop antagonising Trump and his supporters
When the public has low confidence in the system, and those who represent the system, "bad boys" like Donald Trump get a lot of fans. In the people's minds, he becomes the guy who stands up against the established powers by speaking his mind. The more they lash out at him, the more people want to back the "underdog" and see the system lose.
Trump's own petty and vindictive nature is irrefutable, and he will do dumb shit to try and get back at anyone he can. He also has a lot of followers who are the same, but not every Trump voter is on board with all of his insanity. That's why the January 6 incident was not as awful as it could have been. If all his supporters were as nuts, it would have already caused a full-blown civil war. If the opposition keeps stoking the flames of him being a "bad boy", the more his appeal will grow and more Republican folks will support and defend his poor decisions.
But if the opposition and mainstream media backs off a little, gives him the same amount of critique they would any other President like Biden or Obama and no more, his fuck-ups are all the more apparent to his supporters. Democrats need him to fail from the inside, not by trying to break him and his people from the outside.
The same goes for his core support team, from the crazy news anchors to his billionaire friends. I want to individually highlight the role of Elon Musk, who is undoubtedly carrying rockstar status with the bank account to match it. The same reason the Left relies on the support of influential people like Beyonce and Bezos is why Elon is key to Trump's popularity. The more Trump is attacked, the more his people will support them. All everyone else need to do is hold his administration accountable for decisions that hurt the American public in areas like the economy, jobs and safety. I mean actual safety, not just someone getting bullied for gender fluidity, but safety from racial violence and police brutality.
This brings me to my final key statement on the matter:
This brings me to my final key statement on the matter:
Hold down the fort
That is what most of Americans need to do. Protect their freedoms, their core ideals, their people. But do it without lashing out at the Trumpians. Defend against his insanity and bad decisions, hold their ground, and pick their battles. Woke stuff is cool and maybe its time will come, but fight the hardest for simpler things and groups with bigger representations (like focusing more on anti-racism movements).
Perhaps the best I can phrase it is this - uphold the right to offend just as much as you flex your right to take offence. This alone will make a big difference.
America and much of the world are in for a difficult four years, but that does not mean there is nothing to do besides complain about it. You people have overcome a lot of fucked up shit in your history to become the No.1 nation in the world, you can overcome having a democratically elected blonde nutcase. Godspeed.
